Matt;
I think there is one boss missing on the S4tt tranny that is required for
the proconten bracket. I seem to recall someone posting that they made up a
cable strap that went under the tranny and secured the bracket.

Subject: [s-cars] Proconten
I just posted a reply to a question about the proconten bracket in the
Tranny Fluid post, but since I really need some feedback, I'm posting one
for everyone.
I just picked up a beautiful S4tt transmission (an EDU code one, not DSY)
and am ready to install it, BUT evidently only late model S6's had done away
with the proconten, and since I have an early car, I now have to deal with
this. Does anyone have a solution to the proconten system when installing a
much later 01E transmission? I don't know what the whole system looks like
(I have seen pictures of what the top of the proconten bracket looks like)
but couldn't you conceivably rig up a custom bracket, or simply bolt on a
piece of sheet metal that's connected/welded to the cables? It may sound
dumb, and I know this is a BIG rookie mistake, but any help would go a long
way. Thanks.
