I guess I could have used heat shrink OVER the butt connectors but I thought that would overkill (I guess you can never keep too much moisture out).  I did use a ratcheting crimper so I think the crimps are fine.  Just not moisture proof as we speak.  I have an idea for that (RTV silicone).

If you used a good ratcheting crimp tool, then you shouldn't
have a problem (just count the number of soldered joints on
the factory wiring). I got a decent crimp tool from MCM:
http://www.mcmelectronics.com, Part No. 22-770.
I'd be more concerned with the exposed butt connectors.
If you didn't put heat shrink tubing on them, you might
want to add some electrical tape to help keep moisture out.
