[s-cars] Brake Light Problem Back Again

All,

If there is one thing I hate more than a car problem, it is an intermittent
car problem.

To recap, a while back I posted that my brake light was staying on longer
and longer. The bomb test passed, the brake and power steering fluid was
topped off. On one occasion, there was a "thrumming" vibration being
transmitted through the brake pedal. Then - it went away - kind of.

The brake light would still take a while to go off in the morning, but it
was no longer staying on for 30 seconds or longer. Well, that began to
change. The time it took for the light to go off began to creep up and
finally, this afternoon, the light stayed on. I was driving home from the
city and the light would not go off. Plus, the thrumming was back in the
brake pedal. I stopped the car and lifted the hood with the engine running
to look things over. The fluid levels looked fine and I saw no evidence of
leaking.

For the remainder of the drive home (about 20 minutes worth), the pedal
thrummed and the light stayed lit. Upon leaving the freeway, I braked for
the exit and about half way up the exit, the thrumming disappeared. About 30
seconds after that, the light went out.

So, what does it all mean? Any thoughts?
