[s-cars] Bose Delta and Alpine 6-CD changer issues

I haven't had time to dive headfirst into my stereo issues with my S-6
Avant (95.5), but I am looking for a bit of list experience with what
are probably somewhat common problems (having seen some with previous
Type 44 Bose systems).

The CD changer works, however the system does not play out of the Pass.
side speakers, front or rear.  However, when I set the mode to radio,
the right side rear speaker works, but not the passenger front speaker.
I'm guessing that the front speaker has a bad amplifier as there appear
to be no broken wires in the door loom on inspection; no pops, static,
etc. just silence.

My reading of the scattered archive posts for the S6 Avant is that this
stock system with Bose Delta radio and Alpine CD changer does not have
the silver box as in the earlier S4's - which would in turn imply that
the CD changer itself has a problem. 

Any suggestions as to what and how to check the problems out before
trying to find spares that will work?  I've done a complete retro of a
Bose system before, but not ready for that yet with this car - too many
other things to address first.
