S-car's classifieds were not working as of early today, thought I'd bop this to the general list as I need to move this out of my driveway. Sorry for stating allot of the obvious below, I posted this on a local general forsale forum...
1995.5 Audi S6 AVANT, build date 11/95, 5 speed, Quattro AWD, Every option known to exist in this model year including power everything, 2-way glass moonroof, 8-way power front leather seats with heaters, heated rear seats, 3rd row seat, rear window sunshade, ski sack, Bose 10 speaker stereo with 6 disc changer and factory sub woofer etc... Car is black in color and has the Ecru colored interior. Mileage is 265k. Car was hit mildly in LF corner and in LR quarter. Known parts that need replacing are the hood, LF fender, LF headlamp assembly, front bumper assembly and intercooler. In the rear, the quarter panel will need work. Factory S6 steering wheel and air bags are good. Both left suspension corners have a mild amount of negative camber but it appears that all that's needed would be to replace suspension items. No visible frame damage. The original 16" S-wheels look to be relatively untouched. There are new high performance Falken summer tires on the wheels and only one seems to be bad due to a hole. Despite the broken intercooler, the engine fires right up and sounds as quiet and smooth as my 94 S4 with half the miles. Without the intercooler, it runs very rich and smokes, and of course won't idle very well. The clutch seems fine as I had to drive it up on a trailer to bring it home. The car used to be owned by a customer of mine before moving out of the area several years ago. As I remember, the owner took good care of it, having the oil changed regularly with the proper German oil filters and Mobil-1 synthetic motor oil. Other services were done on time and in general he appreciated the car for what it was. There appears to be a new or rebuilt cylinder head on it as the interior of the oil galley and cam are seem especially clean. Overall the car is a little dirty. The car does show it's miles, but there is a good foundation for a rebuild or there is a wealth of special parts to be used for another car. Most Audi 100 or A6 parts will bolt right on if you don't care to find S6 parts (namely fender and bumper). The paint is not shiny and there are minor dents and dingies. I currently do not have any pictures ready at the moment but hope to in a few days. The car is located near Reading Pa. and delivery is possible. A German car boneyard I do business with offered $4700. I'd like to offer it to the list for that price (or an offer very close to that) in case someone wishes to rescue and rebuild this rare car. Email me for pictures! Thank you!
