Larry,

The "boost" in performance is that boost comes on sooner, not more
boost. Lag becomes less of an issue with this mod. The reason is the
stiffer spring bleeds less exhaust gas away from the impeller and
through the wastegate pipe (as it would stock) which in turn builds
boost faster.

Technical data: This mod rocks. Take it for what it's worth People try
to mimic this effect by cranking down on the screw in the wastegate
cap to put load on the wastegate spring. If you really want technical
data, go out and drop the $40 (gasp!) and install the spring and
report back to the list, meanwhile, I'm enjoying my improved throttle
response and lack of lag. I've had this in my car almost 6k miles,
while not a lot, I've been RS2'ed the entire time with no ill effect
(ping, knock, timing retardation). Many people, from bone stock, to
beyond RS2 have done this mod and are all smiles. But don't take my
word for it.
