[s-cars] Bad coil

Hi JR,
Is your car stock (or close to)? I had the same problem a little
while ago and opted to upgrade to the 034 setup. Yes, I know I could have
just made it myself and saved some money, but I didn't have the time or
desire to do it since my 95 S6 is the daily driver.
Installation is cake. Leave the cover off however because those 1.8t
coil packs get very hot since the PSOs are integrated.
I've had no problems since installing them, but I hear some listers
have. I'm not sure if their cars are pushing more power than mine, as I'm
just at Stage 1. Regardless, the way I figured was since these 1.8t coil
packs are CHEAP compared to the stock urs4/6, I could buy 3-4 new 1.8t coils
for every BERU urs4/6 coil I buy, not to mention if PSOs go!
Just my $.02
HTH

Subject: [s-cars] Bad coil
I've got bucking and missing only under high boost and I'm guessing I
have bad/loose plugs and/or a bad coil. With all the list traffic about
coils and the 1.8t conversion failures, what is the general consensus of
the list as to the best solution for replacing bad coils? Just spring
for the factory stuff, do the 1.8t conversion and cross your fingers, or
maybe the upgraded coil kit offered by 034efi?
