If anyone is in the South Jersey/Philly area and wants to see one of these up close, I have one collecting dust in my office. I too was questioning the mounting flange and took it to a few fab shops in my area that specialized in custom hot rod type stuff. I took the header in to them. I had a felt tip marker and traced the EM Gasket onto the flange and asked them if it would be a good or bad idea to cut away the extra material on the flange. Every one of them told me to not touch it. They stated that the large mounting plate is a good idea and is a very strong design. One of the persons I took this to had a degree in metelergy. He was located in Magnolia, NJ. I forget the feb shop name at the moment. The machine shop that I frequent, also in Magnolia, NJ (Figga's Machine Shop) loved it. He had a friend at the shop that day who also had a degree in metelergy and a degree in welding and said it was a very nice piece. Someone is finally making these things for a reasonable price. I
was looking for a 20 valve header about 10 years ago and could only get Tommy in Finland to pass my name along to a friend of his that made a run if them. At over 1000 USD I passed. Bruce, I know we already talked, but let me know when your back in town so we can get together, tilt a few back and you can take a look at this header.
