I use a softsided expandable trunk organiser from LL Bean
(unfortunately they don't appear to sell them any more).
Summer it just holds coolant, washer fluid, torque wrench,
flashlight, paper towels.. Winter it expands to additionally
hold an ice scraper, heavy gloves, LL Bean boots and heavy
socks.
It may be worth dooing a google search to see if someone
is selling something similar.
