[s-cars] Bottom Feeder?

You just HAD to casually brag that you got yours for under $20K, didn't you?
B*stard!

I love mine, although wife gets most of the seat time while I drive my 11MPG
Suburban 2500 with dogs and kids.

But, I can not drive it smoothly, the drive-by-wire throttle sucks eggs.
Have to bring it in for VAG throttle adaptation. Then the trans takes too
long to downshift, and the steering is too light (I am the guy that always
disconnect servotronic on my Ur-S cars).

Other than those three quibbles, it goes like stink, is comfortable, rides
and handles well, has great brakes (after $400 in Pagid RS-4-2 pads), looks
classic like the Ur-S, and has tons of room for its size (you can store at
least two bodies in the trunk).

With my 2001, loaded with all options, sticker approached $85K. Four years
and 69K miles later and I got it for $23K in MINT condition (not a ding or
scratch, no paintwork). What's not to like??

Oh, and it needs a Stromung BAD. :)
