You can breathe some new life in these springs by bending them. If you remove 
the arms and turn them over you will see the springs. by taking a heafty set 
of pliers, you can put a some bend in the straight part of the spring and 
increase the tension a little. I did this on both ends of the spring. It seemed to 
work for me when I installed a set of Valeo wipers. Thsese wipers had a much 
more pronounced flex in them and I needed some extra tension in the springs to 
compensate. HTH
