I was trying to diagnose an overboost issue that drove me crazy for months.
After eliminating everything (and I mean _everything_) else, I decided it
was the custom MRC chip. I bit the bullet and bought the RS2 MAF and
injectors to try another chip. Problem solved.

I liked the MRC tuning, but exploring the mechanical limits of my boost
gauge on a regular basis was unnerving. Once the problem was found, MRC was
quick to provide an updated chip, but since that chip was based on a custom
tuned chip that was changed several times for various reason (more timing
for FMIC, leaner mixture, etc) I felt that we had strayed too far from the
original tuning to be safe. Not to mention that there was obviously an
issue with the original tuning upon which all these changes were based. I
never installed the update. I should probably send all my various
iterations of my chip back to Bob in trade for an MRC standard chipset that
will run the Delphi Injectors and stock MAF with RS2 turbo. I liked that
setup and would go back.
