[s-cars] S6 Heated Door Mirrors

I noticed same thing with the new euro glass.  Some days they both work, other days only one or neither work.
 
I think it has something to do with hvac settings and current outside temp.

I know that they work when using the heated rear window but are they on some 
sort of timer or a thermostat???? they don't seem to stay on for very long. 
Mirror glasses are brand new btw. The drivers mirror glass on the back has a 
round something or other whereas the passenger one doesn't just wondered if this 
was a thermostat.
