Welcome to the list! You have followed the same path as me, 90q20v (Cq in
your case) to a S6 (S4). I still have my 90q20v, but I don't post often on
the 20v list.
Brakes: I'd stick with stock pads for the rear. The front is a different
story.
Noise: Could be bad bearings, try spinning the wheels by hand with the car
on a lift and listen for noise in the wheel bearing housings. Could be bad
tires too.
So what's your plan on mods? Big brake kit? Chip? Turbo?
