Don't know about the others, but the hat on the 993tt *is* intended to be
replaced. When you order new rotors for a 993tt, it comes with a steel hat
mounted to the ring.

But I agree with you that with what we are doing (taking a 993tt ring,
removing the 993tt hat and mounting a custom aluminum hat on it) the hat
will not be a disposable part and used over again.
