[s-cars] Cracked Big Brake Brackets - ECS Stage 2-Other Big Brake Info

Manny:

You only have 2 rotor options on the s-car using RS2 bracket and 993tt
calipers:

1. 323x30 that came with the 2000+ A8 and I think the S8 too. The part
number is 4D0 615 301 A or J, they are identical. When using this, the rotor
is offset by 1 mm, but its not a big deal.

2. 322x32 rotors from a 993tt, but you need a custom hat (i.e. BIRA). The
rotor is perfectly centered.

Rotors that will not work:

314x30 early euro A8 - too small - the pad hangs over the edge of the rotor
345x30 late S8 (euro and US?) - too big the rotor will hit the caliper

The true rotor thickness on a RS2 is 32 mm.

I don't know why VAG Parts is quoting a different part number for the RS2
brackets, but that's a decent price. I paid $180 a couple of years ago from
a US supplier.
