In the end, I'm in agreement- without R&D of the OEM-level, aluminum
parts might be a bit suspect in crucial application. I don't blame you for
choosing steel brackets at all.

I know that Boeing is not going to have substandard aluminum structural bits
in their planes, generally.

Unless we get some input from some OEM engineers, I don't see how this issue
could be settled- I'd love some discourse with Porsche, Ferrari, etc.
engineers on
the suitability of aluminum and the choice of alloy for brake caliper
brackets, for
rotor hats and the like.
