The 335 is under $50k, the high powered BMW to compete against the RS4 will
be the E90 M3.

I think BMW will also have a harder time selling the M3 because of the big
jump in
price- now you're past the Cayman S, you're butting up against the 997, the
Z06
and the Viper. Isn't the M3 projected to be the $70k range?

The real buy in sports sedans will be the 335i, once the tuners figure out a
way to
put some big turbo(s) on the engine.

I also really like the "turbo quattro" setup that Audi has used for so long-
once they
went to the V-8 setup, it's not nearly as endearing. Must be marketing and
buyer
perception, because the I-5 is still IMHO the engine to beat in the Audi
lineup for
performance. All the guys on the list running north of 400hp attest to that.

At least I have a fairly refined I-5 20v turbo to tool around in once in a
while. :-)
