[s-cars] Amsoil advice requested

Going to do the big shift to Amsoil for the three quattros, plus the wifes's Odyssey.  My questio is, which weights/oils do you guys run in your S6's?  The recommendations are, unsurprisingly, the Euro 5W40, Series 2000 0W30 or 20W50, and the 10W40 HP Synthetic.  Disregarding the lighter weights and the extra costs of the Series 2000 oils, that leaves the 10W40, which is a weight that I've avoided in the past, as it has beeen said to have the optimum proeprties tend to degrade faster in that blend due to the additive packages used (old data, maybe dino and no longer valid?).  Anyway, I've always run 20W50, 15W50 or 5W50 oils in the S6's and urq (for which they recommend the 0W20...never going to happen!).

I had planned on using the HP 20W50 Syn , or the 15W40 HD Diesel and Marine Syn that a fellow lister recommended.  Comments and BTDT appreciated before I place an order.
