[s-cars] Worthy projects (was Alum..was UrS $)

No salt....

Only 60 snow plows for the whole fricking metro area - If the sun doesn't
come out you are hosed

Seems to get quite icy when we only get 1-2 inches - once again, no salt

Don't get me wrong, there are lots of upsides to no salt but one of them is
certainly NOT driveability on the roads. I've been in driving snow in
Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois without a problem in much lesser cars.
Here in Denver I have had to pull "AWD" Subarus and Cherokees out with my
UrS. Did you know that even some of the new Cherokees have switched to the
Borg Warner "AWD" system. It's really funny to watch people's faces when
there "AWD" car is stuck in the snow and only one wheel is spinning :)

I am interested to hear what is different about the Denver roads.
How are they different? I am being serious with you is it the type
of snow, type of drivers, road condition, or some other factor?
