it's drive-by-wire.  the ECU is programmed to prevent you from applying
both at the same time.  an audi tech told me this:

"Depress your brake pedal fully, apply the gas fully, lift off the gas and
re-apply it to WOT.

Prepare for launch... as that should take the ecu out of no-throttle mode
and you better be standing on the brakes when the boost starts to build."

i haven't tried it, because i'm not interested in powerbraking my S4 avant,
but you can try it and let us know if it works.
