Taka,
You should contest it. The ticket is faulty and you can call it
into evidence. Do not tell the court ahead of time that anything
is amiss.
You should also get the advice of a good ticket lawyer before you
do anything.
This happened to me once and rather than spend 6 hours driving
back to northern NY to contest the faulty ticket I just paid the
$50 (it was a long time ago).
If you've got the time, it may well be worth it. Again, check with
a lawyer.
