Scott,

If he can see other computers on the LAN, it's not an SSID or 
password problem. The problem is *probably* that the WAP isn't 
getting out to the WAN.

Can this laptop access the Internet via a wired connection? If 
not, try running a DOS command "ipconfig /release all" and then 
"ipconfig /renew".

Also, you should take a look at the IP address of the WAP and see 
if it matches the IP address range on the router.

I've shied away from separate router / WAP configs due to the 
challenge of multiple subnets...it's much easier for one device to 
manage the entire IP address space.
