s-men of the frozen Northwest

My wife and I are taking a little vacation up your way to Nanoose Bay. If we 
have a couple of extra days to begin with should we stay on Vancouver Island, 
Vancouver, or a more familiar Seattle? How about some restaurant 
recommendations for Nanoose Bay or other close places?? Thanks guys.
