I know this sounds silly, but did you make sure the pressure plate side of
the clutch disc was on the pressure plate side and the flywheel side was on
the flywheel side?

Subject: [s-cars] Issue with replacing clutch on 95 S6

Seasons Greetings S-heads,
What better way to end 2008 than to replace the clutch on my 95 s6.
The throwout bearing was going big time so I figured I'd do it myself..with
the help of a friend and his shop's lift of course!

Anyways, I use a LUK repset and had the flywheel machined.. also
replaced the clutch slave cylinder pilot bearing and the usual items.

Last night, we put the car back together and the engine seems "locked".
Car can't start. The starter works fine, but the flywheel only turns a
little bit now before its movement is prevented from going further. Now when
I put the flywheel on, I know the flywheel could turn on its own, but before
I take the whole thing back apart, was just wondering if anything jumps out
at any of you.

Hope your holidays go well!

Elvis
