Apparently BMW is having issues with the high pressure fuel pump.??I see on the BMW forums (besides questions?about LED lights and carbon fiber license plate frames) that a?lot of the?335s' are having to be bought back as 'lemon's at it is common to have multiple failures.? But I don't think I have seen any posts about blown head gaskets or turbos on modified cars.
I replaced my S6 with a sport package e90 330.? Doesn't have the RS2 power but it was a nice surprise getting 29 mpg on our trip to the Cape this weekend.? I wonder if it is possible to pick up one of these 335 lemons at a good price (since right now a 335 is out of my price range for probably another year)?

I'd do the obnoxious +1 thing, but really, +1.
:-)
The E90 BMW is a very nice driving car, even though I think it's ugly.
Actually, there are issues with people running the 335 engine- some people
had engine failures with the first cars out to market (I guess that's one of
those typical 1st year German car issues). I wouldn't put a ton of boost
through an open deck engine, though- it wasn't designed for that. I'd think
you'd actually want to start with a 335d block to run high boost.
