I have had a similar behavior when the bypass valve went out as well. Check
to make sure your bypass valve is in good shape. You should check for a
leak between the small vacuum hose on the top and either of the other two
ports. This can be done with a vacuum pump, as it should hold vacuum, or
you can simply try and suck through the small hose. If you can it has a
leak.

You can also hit the "boost cut out" or expereience s hut off because
of what the ECU believes is an overboost situation with a bad MAF or
an MAF with dirty connections.

But if you were expereiencing this In my experience it feels like the
car shuts off for a quick moment, not simply a lack of boost.

For a lack of boost I'd check the boost line to the ECU where it comes
off the T at the back of the engine. At that point it's rubber and
may be cracked or broken causing the ECU to get the boost signal
partially/momentarialy.

I'd also recommend pressure testing your boost hoses/system and look
for any bad hoses (not just the samcos), there are other hoses that
carry boost/vacuum that can fail.

Is the MAF/turbo hose in one piece, I had mine fall apart on me.

Good luck
Chris
