[s-cars] Troubleshoot a no start issue

Bob,
Really no need to apologize, being a noob to the s-list, I don't know
everyone's list idiosyncrasies/mannerisms and I too was attempting to
interject a modicum of humor, albeit self-defecating ;-)
The compression may be on the lower range due to the tsunami of fuel I've
been dumping into the oil pan (this will be changed soon) and ALL of the
hoses are ur and showing age... ...I've gone this deep, I might as well pony
up for a set of Samcos.
Thanks again and have a great day!
Brooke

Brooke,
I think I need to apologize. I was attempting humor not trying to be
a scold. We have all had problems which have just simply driven us
up a wall from time to time. I have definitely BTDT.
Really, from what you say the most likely problem looks to me to be
an air leak somewhere. At least that's my best guess from this
vantage point. Your compressions seem a little low but still within
an operable range and reasonably consistent from cylinder to cylinder.
I'm about as puzzled as you are. Regardless, keep after it and keep
us in the loop. We do try to be of help even though it may sometimes
seem not to be the case.
