I'm located just south of Portland, Oregon. It would be nice to know if there were some fellow enthusiasts around here!

Jake,

the miss can be caused by a bad coil or a bad POS, have you confirmed
it isn't a bad POS?

Now based that you found several splices, I would recommend making
sure you don't have any exposed wires.
