[s-cars] Rear License Plate Bracket

All four of the metal clips that are set in the plastic have been stripped
out and I now have no way to fasten the rear license plate.  The plastic
frame /bracket/what have you is not removable from the trunk lid (held on by
a piece of rubber attached to trunk).  Anyone have any solutions other than
gluing the plate on or drilling holes through the trunk lid?
