[s-cars] Rear License Plate Bracket

This was just discussed a couple days ago.  The plate surround is
attached with two bolts into the truck lid located under the license
plate, and the black gooey stuff.  Once you remove the surround, the
captive nuts can be removed from the back.

Do a search for recent posts for more info on what to do with bad
captive nuts.  Should have been within the last week or so.  Good luck.

All four of the metal clips that are set in the plastic have been
stripped out and I now have no way to fasten the rear license plate.
The plastic frame /bracket/what have you is not removable from the trunk
lid (held on by a piece of rubber attached to trunk).  Anyone have any
solutions other than gluing the plate on or drilling holes through the
trunk lid?
