And here's another one, Stott, but it requires that you remove your
sleeves not keep something up there. ;-) Drop the belly pan if
it's still there and reach up in there with your bare arm to pull the
release lever by hand. Your sleeved arm probably won't fit in
there. Likewise if you have gorilla arms they probably won't fit
either but if you skinny little old man arms like mine the job is
doable from underneath - just be prepared for the usual blood
sacrifice to the Audi gods. It's a long way up there.
