+1 to both of these issues (not sure that's what Ted is having but they are
both legit probs).
for #1 - some guys even use a razor to scrape accumulated
roadgrimesludgefilm off the window. that's a bit extreme for me, I do a
three part: 1. basic soapy washdown so I'm not scrubbing sand into the
window, 2. firm elbow grease rubdown with strong citrus type degreaser on a
clean cotton cloth, 3. 1-3 wipedowns with windex-type ammonia cleaner to
finish cleaning and remove any remaining degreaser residue.
for #2 a cheapo/hack fix is to pull the blade refill out and flip it so the
'set' faces the wrong way. if you have the 'it wipes great going up but
crappy when it comes back down' then this hack will work. of course a new
blade will be best but this does work and you'll get more miles outa the
blade...
