[s-cars] Trunk won't open. Glad to be back!

Mike,

I don't think you've received much helpful advice.

1. Obviously you want to make triple damn sure the trunk lock isn't locked.

2. Gaining access to the inside of the trunk via seat removal or an ultra slim fast diet and slide
through the ski sack won't help, there are 10-12 screws that hold the liner in place that would
need to be removed to even begin to gain access. Then you would have to remove the nuts
for the taillight, etc.

3. It sounds mechanical and not electrical to me, I repeat my reccomendation that you spray the
insides of the lock liberally with kroil or penephite to try and get the works moving again.

4. If all else fails you will need a new taillight lens as cutting the existing lens to gain access to the
lever with a nice large screwdriver to manually activate the trunk release is my only other solution.
