Bob, is it not as simple as removing the relay and jumping the contacts, like on other Audis of the same vintage?

Subject: [s-cars] frogs and other lights

Hi Y'all,

Finally, after all these years, I'm getting around to changing
something which should have come this way from the factory.

I want to modify the wiring of the OEM fog lights so that they fogs
can be operated independently from either the high beams or the low
beams. My thinking is that the fogs should turn on using the
built-in dash switch and should operate any time the parking light
(or maybe the instrument cluster light) circuit is active and they
should go off when the parking lights turn off. Is there a simple
(read minimal surgery) solution someone has already worked out? Or
do I need to reinvent the wheel?

Bob
