Relax, Cheeseman, and don't add HID to this, just say "I'm not
savvy", or "I am
stupid" would suffice. : > )
Most of these online ballasts are made as part of a retrofit kit. I
would suspect
the connectors are not the same as the OEM Audi parts and they may not
even
connect in the same places. The retrofit kits have to be made so you
can get
the bulb with wiring attached into the original headlight assembly.
The OEM
stuff has a connector on the bulb.
In short, I would make sure anything you buy online is a genuine Audi
part
or one made to replace it if you find aftermarket stuff. In that
regard the list has
had good success with the Chinese made retrofit kits.
I would recommend you get the part # from the ballast and check price at
genuinevwaudiparts.com or audipartsnationwide.com/ before committing
to
buy elsewhere.
