[s-cars] guilty, not guilty?

Methinks the issue is not whether or not the blindingly cool Audi came to a complete stop or not, but instead revolves around who was driving it, and is guilty of executing a world-famous rolling non-stop? Filming a car from an elevated rear position makes it virtually impossible to identify the driver beyond a reasonable doubt. Filming from in front makes a far stronger case, but this video does not even show the driver's face. Male? Female? Young? Old? No way to tell.

Ticket the owner or the driver, particularly if the driver cannot be identified? Shouldn't be too hard to defend that. "Your Honor, who is driving in the video? Who is responsible for that obvious infraction? Yes, I'm the registered owner of that car, but I was not driving it. Who was? It could have been my wife, or one of a couple of friends, I can't remember. It seems to me it's the responsibility of the law enforcement office who brought these charges to identify the driver."

You can ck the dailyherald on which suburbs are doing what with the right turn on red issues. I suspect until banned, even if you took that to court, that video reviewed by a judge would clearly indicate a complete stop was not made.
