[s-cars] S6 avant hatch lock

Wow a lot of 'key' action going on as of late. First thing I would do to any lock cylinder that appears non functional is to hose it with white lithium grease. A lot of tumblers get gunked up, if really bad, hose with triflo, then lube with white lithium grease. Prior to sidewinders, Audi used a numbering system on the discs. These are usually best found on the passengers side door lock, as that side has the best chance of having the original discs (most replacements and aftermarket didn't use the numbers). If this is an S6 it will have the sidewinder key, and the dealer does not stock the inserts for sidewinders AFAIK.

This sounds like a damaged keyway door or obstruction more than it does damaged discs. My bet is that you can get a used lock assembly and rekey the assembly with the discs from the original lock cylinder.

Always found VW Audi locks very easy to re-key.
The dealer should have the little bronze things if the ones that are in the
existing don't work.
