Hi Ron,
I searched all around for remanned calipers for my rears before
realizing I can refurb the brake mechanism on my own and that the
slides and pistons were fine on mine. I tried to buy loaded remans
from partstrain.com along with a bunch of other parts, but they
emailed me a week after I placed the order to let me know they weren't
in stock, even though they are STILL listed on the website. When I
called, I was routed to a call center where the guy I spoke with
couldn't answer any of my questions that I couldn't answer myself via
the website. I won't order from them again even if I can save 20
bucks.
I did, however find http://www.clarksdiscount.com/. They have cardone
remans for $76 and when I asked a few questions, a human wrote me back
with a clear answer. I didn't end up buying them, as stated, because
I discovered I could continue to use my own for the time being, but I
would be much more comfortable ordering from them then anyone else.
Also, the gold plated calipers are probably OEM new, whereas
everything else is remanufactured.
HTH,
-Andrew
