[s-cars] Lets just say...KKK turbo and ECU musings...

You could certainly do it, but don't expect it to improve your low end response... AKA boost threshold. Bigger injectors, different tuning, or more fuel pressure isn't going to change the size of that turbo.
If the mtm tuning adds a little timing at low rpm, that might help a little.

You realize that your "lag wagon" is soft on acceleration because the previous
owner replaced the turbo with a larger than stock K24.
That's right. Stock EM, stock injectors, FPR & ECU.
and an RS2 turbo.
I'm planning on a timing belt service this summer and will likely pull the turbo
and swap it with a stock k24 at same time.
Any risks on having some fun with car by swapping out the stock ECU with an MTM
1+ ECU in the meantime?
I;m not expecting to leverage the capabilities of the RS2, given that the
injectors and FPR are stock, but hope that it improves the low rpm response.
thoughts?
