[s-cars] Febi rear camber links - short lifespan?

Hi folks,
I installed Febi rear camber links on my S6 about 35K miles ago. I
followed the recommended installation procedure and set the suspension to
the correct ride height before torquing the outer bolts. I noticed today
that both links are shot-- when I wiggled the rear wheels, I saw
significant play in the outer joints.
I'm pretty disappointed in the durability of these links, as the original
ones lasted over 100K.
Looking online for replacements, it seems that there are only two readily
available options-- Febi for ~$80 a side, or OEM for $180 a side. Before I
take a chance on Febi again, I'd like to know...
1. Have you guys experienced similarly short lifespans with the Febi links?
2. If not, did I screw up something in the installation?
Thanks,
Eugene
