[s-cars] Buying a C6 A6

I would venture to guess that cash for clunkers took a lot of used cars off the road and therefore has increased the price of used cars since supply was diminished greatly.

Yeah, used car prices are still somewhat inflated. I think this can be
traced to all the sub-prime auto lending going on out there, and the
inability of buyers to get (prime) credit to buy new cars. But this appears
to be changing slowly. When a friend or relative asks my advice about car
buying these days, I suggest they look at new cars. Unless you're willing
to bottom feed, used cars in the 2-5 year old range are terribly
overpriced. Even 10 year old cars are quite overpriced in my opinion.
