[s-cars] Next car. Where to go from URS4?

I have to put in a plug for the 2.7T 6-speed. I know the Allroad version
of that has been mentioned. I had one of those, and I kind of hated
it--because of the squishy ride primarily, and it had been hammered by PO.
But what I still have and LOVE is an '01 A6 2.7T 6-speed with sport
package and a chip. Remove the servotronic relay from under the dash and
that thing is nice and tight, and very fast and plush. I think it's the
only satisfying mid-ground (price and timeline) between the URS4/S6 and
going all the way (and shelling out) for something within the past 5 years.
I don't know how many 6-speed, sports package 2.7T sedans they made those
years. I sure don't see them around too much. But if I could put my hands
on another one, I might. Can't say enough about that car.
What I'm wondering about the V10 S6, and others mentioned, is can any of
those be had with a clutch. I'm really dreading that day I'm forced to
give up shifting (with my arm--not with a paddle on the wheel).
Also, the Allroad seems to be the ONLY way to get a turbo sports wagon with
a stick. So I don't know what I'll do when my 95.5 Avant cashes it in.
BMW 5 series wagon might be the closest I can come. Too bad Volvo stopped
sending ANY sticks to the U.S. Guess that's what they think of us as
drivers. . . .
