[s-cars] VW antics

I would argue MOST TDI sales are from drivers seeking an economic advantage and then find out they are fun. Most TDI drivers I run into talk more about fuel economy and/or tank range, NOT it digs off the line or pulls off of corners. Sadly the TDI owner at my new job I know is so busy ducking from everyone to ask why he bought a TDI.

My expectation is that is where VW is going to lose sales - to people going back to crossovers and SUVs. New car sales have shown that movement already, even before this scandal came to light. At least here in VT, SUV drivers are the folks who chose to go with TDIs.
