Hey guys thanks for the replies, all of which made great sense and
discouraged me from bidding on the 3B engine thats on ebay right now. The guy dont
wanna ship it anyway.

I had some other thoughts to throw out there.

I really want to go with the 4.2L V8 that many of the 4000 guys are working
on right now. I would have to send the car out to 2Bennett to get the
fabrication of the mounts done but then I would do the rest of the swap. the biggest
headache with this setup I see is the brakes, you need to go with a Tilton (
or equivalent ) pedal set due to clearance issues under the hood - which causes
as many issues under the dash.

The AAN engine is enticing but its not as easy of a swap into an UrQ. The
other drawback of the AAN is the same as one of the benefits - RS2 parts. Man,
I see what all that stuff sells for and I know its just going to be out of my
league to even think about loading up the car with that kinda $$$.

The 3B is the most sensible swap, right? Its good to an optimistic 300HP,
with a reliable and easy 270, basically falls right into the car...

One of my UrQ's has an '89 MC2 engine in it. I like that engine, I sure
could get one cheap enough.

Where this all takes a twist is when you consider the pocket change you can
get a good 89-90 MC2 engine for. Maybe even grab a 2.5L Eurovan block... With
the money thats left over from either of the 20V options I can rebuild the
engine and get into true EFI via 034.

Anyway, Im pretty anxious to start something with that particular car, I
wouldnt mind an engine sitting on a stand in my garage being rebuilt and tweaked
while the rest of the car is getting finished up.

Happy Motoring
sean
