Greetings fellow listers...

I just thought I'd give a heads up that my beloved UrQ may be for sale before too long. I really need to buy a house (i.e., garage that I can do with as I wish), and as many of you know the real estate market in coastal California doesn't smile upon average guys, and certified European car techs don't get paid enough to even afford the median home ($400k+). Also, being 23 and owning 5 cars, 4 of which are old and German, and 1 of which is really worth anything, is not conducive to purchasing a home. Unfortunately the one that's worth anything is the one I love most... Anyway, the UrQ may be FS to assist in putting a down payment on a home, hopefully with a little property to erect a proper shop on. The car won't be available immediately, as I want to take care of a couple of issues prior to letting it go, mostly for my own consience, and because I want to pass it on to a loving home in as good or better condition than when I bought it (which was really very good). I haven't really driven the car in over a year except to run it around town a bit, and it currently has a fuel delivery problem with I'm in the process of addressing. I'll put it in the list classifieds when the time comes, but here's everything:

'83 UrQ #900460
-Alpine white/tan leather
-70k miles (bought at 53k in '99)
-all original paint, excellent(dings in both front fenders are among the issues I want to take care of, so these may be painted)
-interior excellent, no cracks in dash, leather great
-2Bennett stage 1 chip mod w/ adj. wastegate (14psi)
-4 core aluminum radiator (from list group buy)
-Abt dash w/ autometer guages (boost, water temp, AFR)
-Alpine speakers in stock locations
-H&R springs
-2(maybe 3) sets of wheels:
      - stock 15x6, excellent
      - Fuchs, straight with some scratches/fading (on car)
      - 16x7 ET40 Avus relica (may keep for my Vanagon :)
-3" Magnaflow muffler, center resonator removed.
-ceramic coated EM, replaced in '00 ($$$)
-brake servo replaced ($$$)
-fuel pump replaced '01
-RF wheel bearing new
-Mobil 1 every 3k/6 mo's since purchased
-AC delete (for radiator-I never used it, and compressor
     leaks.
-have all original parts, incl. complete AC, OE dash cluster,
     springs,etc...

I haven't decided on a price- I bought it for $8500 from the original owner, who was asking 10k, but he wanted the car to go to a guy like me, so he helped me out. It only got driven 200 miles a year, so it looked great but needed some mild rehab. I certainly don't expect to get out of it what I have in it (boggles the mind...). I didn't really pay attention to the UrQ value thread recently :) Anyway, that's everything I can think of- sorry if it's a waste of BW for some, but I obviously want the you guys to have first (only?) crack at it, because the lists have given me so much.

That's all the news that's fit to print. I will, of course, own another ASAP, if not this car again (preferred :)

Thanks,
Tucker Fritch
