Good question......i will remind folks that my h&r's give go cart like
performance, but I've lost track of how much hassle they have caused,
welded exhaust back together after bottoming out so many times,
destroyed front air dam or valence....and today picked up my used oil
cooler ($150 great deal)as the latest casualty......and that's in NY
where the roads aren't too bad.....like most things in life it good and
bad, black & white, yin and yang......also got my snapon 10mm 12pt tool
the other day, how did I ever live without it ????? works on the 20vt
avant as well.....

Next time I will go for H&R stiffness with proper ride height.....i
guess that means custom springs ????

Subject: [urq] H&R vs '84 stock springs

Hey guys-
Ok....more thoughts happening here.....

A couple Koni vs Bilstein replies got me thinking about springs, which I
was not intending to replace, but am having second thoughts... I can
definitely see how H&R springs could be a nice upgrade from stock '83
springs, but what about '84 or '85? Because the later cars are already
a little lower, and I think a bit stiffer (not sure though) I'm
wondering how much better H&Rs would be. How much, if any, would they
lower an '84 or '85? This car will see an occasional track appearance
(maybe once a year) but mostly just street, including aggressively
driven mountain roads.

again, TIA-

Brandon
