[urq] Clutch slippage

... it is the throw out (release) bearing that slides along this sleeve, the
clutch pressure plate is only affected indirectly, i.e. if the sleeve were
in bad shape the throw-out bearing would not disengage the fingers on the
pressure plate. Methinks that if this were indeed your problem it would not
be so subtle ... you'd have clutch slippage in lower gears too. Assuming
that the TOB was replaced, I've got to believe that the shop that did the
clutch job would have replaced the sleeve if it was in that bad of shape.
If the sleeve was sticking you might well not notice it in the clutch pedal
... it will automatically "adjust" by adding fluid to the lines between the
MC and slave when the clutch pedal was released. Perhaps the thing you
would notice is that the clutch would tend to release very soon after you
started depressing the clutch pedal and your friction or "take up" point
would be way off the floor ...
One possibility that comes to mind was that the shop prepared the flywheel
improperly ...
80PSI of oil pressure at 3K RPM is not anything I'd be concerned about ...
sounds pretty typical to me ...
