... I'd tend to think more like a residual fuel pressure problem myself ... 
i.e. perhaps the Fuel Pressure Accum or the check valve in the pump or the 
return line to the tank.  I'd start with the fuel pressure gauge ... install 
it after the lunch time run and re-pressurize the system.  Come back and 
check the pressure before getting ready to go ... I'll bet the pressure is 
below spec.
