I'm too busy to do any actual research, and you may know already, but my sense is that 
anodizing is a process that actually alters the surface of the material, rather than just 
a coating or surface finish.  There may be metalurgy issues involved (hardness, 
brittleness, etc.).  On wheels that pricey, it's probably worth consulting someone who 
really knows what they're talking about (obviously not me).

I've got full polished Kinesis K28's on my Audi and they look like crap now.
I am considering having them anodized.
